Need to get a million-pound motor from A to B without clocking up the miles? OnTime Automotive’s classic car service is the solution, providing total peace of mind with a whole range of reasons to entrust your pride and joy to one of our transporters.
First and foremost, it’s a secure service, with your vehicle fully enclosed inside one of our containers – and that means no exposure to adverse weather conditions, general road dirt and pollution, or any other unwanted aspect of the outside world.
This also means your car doesn’t need to drive under its own steam, so you won’t rack up any unwanted miles on the clock, and it isn’t a problem if the motor won’t run at all.
Getting on board
What about getting a non-running car into the back of the truck? Again, don’t worry – there’s no need for any Knight Rider manoeuvres in the middle of the motorway.
Our container trucks come equipped with low-level rear lifts, so your car can be rolled on to this and then raised to the required height to safely roll off into the back of the truck.
Alternatively, we have winches which can pull your car aboard without its engine running at all, ideal for vehicles that are purely for display.
We know the feeling of letting a highly prized vehicle out of your sight, but just because the tailgate of the truck has closed and hidden your car from view, it doesn’t mean you can’t keep an eye on it.
Real-time vehicle tracking means you can watch your car’s journey from start to finish if you wish, or check on it periodically to make sure it’s still en route to the expected destination.
Our drivers are experienced and carefully selected, so you can rest assured that the only diversions we may make away from the expected route will be in response to unavoidable road closures, highways maintenance works and police incidents – and we will get your vehicle safely to its destination as quickly as we can, no matter what the journey brings our way.
Multi-car insurance
Our own take on ‘multi-car insurance’ means we can ship up to six classic cars in a single transporter, and the entire load will be covered in the event of an unavoidable accident.
With standard goods-in-transit insurance worth £5 million, that’s a minimum of well over £800,000 per car, even with a full load.
If that’s not enough, we can arrange top-up cover for the remainder, and we also issue full pre and post condition reports so any (very, very unlikely) in-transit damage will not be missed.
